UC Sport offers a range of social sports events and sport short courses that help you develop your skills and balance your study.

Short Courses

Working with a number of local Sports Organisations, UC Sport offers a wide range of sport short courses that help you learn new skills and find your 30 minutes of physical activity.

Recommencing in Semester 2, UC Sport will be offering the following short courses:

  • Introduction to AFL (AFL Canberra)
  • Squash Girls Can (Squash Australia)
  • Open Court Sessions (Tennis ACT)
  • Water Awareness Course

Each of the programs is offered to students at low or no costs and will run for 6 – 8 weeks.


Throughout each Semester, UC Sport also hosts small social sport tournaments. These tournaments are a good way to get your friends together as you take a break from studying.

Usually run over one day, these tournaments will be run at a social level with prizes up for grabs for the winner.

Other Sports

As well as hosting the Sport Short Courses and Social Tournaments, UC Sport also looks to partner with our on campus accommodation provider – UniLodge – to host a range of competitions that put ressie pride on the line.
