In addition to the UniSport Australia endorsed events, UC Sport also contests a number of Intervarsity events throughout the year. These events are held both locally and interstate, and often see Team UC competing against universities in NSW.

In 2021, UC Sport will be looking to compete in a number of interstate Intervarsity events that will see students travel to Sydney and Wollongong to take on the best of the best. Final dates for the events below are to be confirmed, but the month should remain the same:

  • Eastern Shield, Multi-sport, UNSW, TBC
  • East eSport Intervarsity, Multi-sport, UC, TBC

More information about the Intervarsity events listed above, and new additions to the calendar will be released as it comes to hand.

2020 also saw the introduction of the InTRIvarsity, which pits the three Canberra institutions against one another in a limited series. UC took out the event over ACU and ANU and will be looking to go back to back in 2021.

Held on an annual basis, and seen as the ultimate battle of the Capital, Intervarsity showcases the top UC sporting talents as we take on ANU in 16 different sporting codes, with the eventĀ seeing 420 current studentsĀ participate.

Following a condensed 2020 event, UC was successful in reclaiming the title, 5 – 4 in a Covid friendly series. With the shield back at Bruce, Team UC is determined to back up the performance of 2020 with another in 2021. The dates for the event are still being confirmed, but will be published as soon as available.
