UC students win gold and silver at the 2018 World University Championships

 

One University of Canberra student has won Gold in Mauy Thai and another student Silver in shooting at the 2018 World University Championships.

 

Diandra Martin became champion after competing in Thailand from the 23rd-29th July, and Thomas Ashmore performed remarkably in Malaysia over the 14th-18th of March.

 

The World University Championships runs year-long from February to December and includes 30 different sporting events.

 

The UC students were two of 200 student-athletes that represented Australia across 22 championships in 17 different countries.

 

Diandra studies a Bachelor of Health and Thomas studies a Bachelor of Business Administration and Management.
