If you’ve found a continual theme amongst our player profiles recently, you’re not wrong, with many of our star Sevens players earning their stripes in other sports as well.

Breanna or ‘Bree’ Toze, is one of those players, who as a credentialled athlete in netball has also proven she’s more than capable on a rectangular grassed field as well.

The wing-attack (in netball) from Tuggeranong has come along in strides since joining the University of Canberra Women’s 7’s, earning her rightful place in the side which will compete in the AON University 7s.

A former ACTAS scholarship holder for the round ball game, Toze’s love for rugby has seen her represent Australia the highest level for touch, before turning her head to the sevens format.

It has seen her go against the flow of the modern female touch player, with Rugby League the most well known for pillaging the rank of touch players and not so much the 7 or 15-a-side game.

With fellow netballer Ngawai Eyles on the side, Toze looks to become yet another successful convert from the sport of netball as she takes her game to the next level.
