UC7s Land Netball and Touch Convert

Continuing the trend with the University of Canberra Women’s 7’s, Ngawai Eyles is another player taking advantage of the pathway provided by the AON University 7’s.

Asserting herself as a dominant force in the Sevens format of the game, Eyles is also a current Canberra Giants netballer.

Playing a key role in the netball side making the preliminary final in the Australian Netball League, the centre or wing attack is translating those silky handling skills into a whole new code.

It’s not her first foray into the game of rugby with Eyles also representing New Zealand in touch football.

Eyles also represented the provinicial New Zealand team of Southland in a sevens qualifying tournament in November 2016, however they failed to qualify for the competition proper.

Looking to follow trends set by her team-mates, Eyles is set to become a dual-sporting champion in her own right.

With the UC Women’s 7’s team boasting quite the strong side already, she just might be holding up two trophies by the end of the season proper.
