Last week of UC sport action has seen all spectrums of the sporting climate covered from social, right through to our own UC Capitals in the WNBL.

Earlier this week we looked at the multi-talented Sammie Wood, whose meteoric rise from W-League to Womens’ 7’s elite is nothing short of inspirational.

We also spoke to Abby Gustaitis who enters the Womens’ 7’s team after a strong Women’s World Cup and looks set to be a great addition to the side.

Social netball kicked off with some interesting play and some even more interesting names, but it was Social sport that was the winner, well that and the side that took home $500 and a case of redbull.

At the UC Caps, it’s also been a huge week with the signing of Candian star Kia Nurse, who’ll join the Caps later this year for the 2018-19 WNBL season, and the Caps have just launched their huge membership offering – which is worth checking out!

Finally, we also previewed Yasmin Meakes and her involvement in this year’s Womens’ 7’s competition after her breakthrough year last year.

Finally, the UC Sport crew (with some notable ringers) took to UC’s famed No. 1 field to take on the best of the AIS high performance unit in a game of “social” football. The game ended up firmly in the AIS’ favor however, the real winner on the day was the game of football.

The action is just starting to heat up so make sure you keep your eyes peeled on our website and our social media platforms.
